What are the three most important attributes or skills to be successful as a consultant?
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude towards change and innovation as every project is different.
  • Empathy and the ability to put yourself in the clients shoes and understand customer needs.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.

How did you begin your career?
After graduating from university, I started as a business analyst in an external strategy consultancy where I worked on international project assignments for clients from different industries.

What convinced you to join CBC?
After working in an external consultancy for many years, I liked the idea to work as an inhouse consultant. Being part of exciting projects and collaborating in crossfunctional teams around the globe is what drives me. Working on projects for one company only enables me to build a sustainable network and to enjoy the benefits of a large and global operating corporation.

How do you unwind after a long day at work?
After work I enjoy indulging myself with great food and drinks preferrably accompanied by family and friends. This can be either visiting new restaurants or cooking at home. Recently I started to explore food from the arabic world. Can't beat hummus! ;-)

What is the wisest thing anyone has ever told you?
"It always seems impossible until it's done." – Nelson Mandela

How do you usually spend your time when travelling via train or plane?
If not working on my emails or presentations, I enjoy listening to podcasts. It inspires me to listen to stories and experiences of people from various backgrounds. This can be business-related but also lifestyle and society topics.
